Post-pandemic Inuendos

Bumibilis na naman ang bentahan mga Kababayan. And fast selling is becoming the terms again, not the all day waiting for a customer to come. It might offend their personal space.

Efficiency or Patience?

There is a joke that two of the most exacting workers are as follows. For clericals they are the canonists, for layman they are the accountants. Nonetheless, they might in reality be better than us in personal dealings. We've set fast selling as one of our first articles here. However, through the pandemic of closed stores and dwindling buyers, I have to stare at point blank all day that no one would like to buy from me anymore or do something in the store aside from waiting for customers to come again. By then I forgot to take care of my customers, letting each finger countable ones to become just a disturbance to what I've been doing to past my time instead of waiting for them. I have to give more of myself to others. By waiting patiently for them to think, looking them in the eye to assess their situation first and their needs, I become more Christlike in giving them the groceries they need, instead of rushing them to already tell me what they need because there might follow...

Caritas in veritate (Charity in truth)

Paminsan ...

A CCTV Inside My Brain

We encourage fast selling and it has conditions that a seller can meet. But due to tricksters going to our store every 6 months or so, we are not just going to raise a red flag when suspicious moves of a buyer (not necessarily regular customers) shows itself. Even a computer more often is slowed down by an antivirus. Yes, we may not be going slow, but we are not going to use multitasking or selling to two customers or more at a time. What we are going to do when the red flag is raised is to record like a CCTV camera the transaction from beginning to end, with an auto delete after there is no more sign of tricking going to happen coming from the buyer (meaning we are not to register it to our long term memory). Even when the buyer has turned his back on you, you should not yet delete the transaction event yet, but only when signs that there is no tricking that will happen. Yes the brain can do it, and you have to test it yourself and hone it, so that when the real red flagging happen...

Plastik

Image

How to Avoid Conflict?

Image
If you don't want conflict go to the mountains and become an hermit. I know some hermitage have headaches too, nevertheless. The title is really "How to Handle Conflict." After finishing a short free nonverified or audit online course about family business , I would like to share with you this 5 Conflict Management Strategy , and just discuss one of it though. It's accomodating, avoiding, collaborating, compromising, competing. I never knew accommodating wins your customers. If it's just about petty details, small amounts short of full payment, etc. always give them the lighter side of it and never argue. That's it. Even your just chitchatting with your customers and they have a different political opinion than yours, for the sake of art, don't give a damn. If you want them fast in deciding what to buy, for God's sake be patient, and give them all the time they want to decide. Small inconsequencial things like a customer haven't yet paid the 5 ...

Being Friendly To My Customers

You can't blame me. Sometimes customers just need a listening heart. But does it go against our suggestion to warn oneself against confusion from receiving payment and giving changes? Yes it does! Previously we did say that there's nothing wrong chitchatting with your customers as long as there is no transactions left. But what if I tell you another line of story? A regular peddler shouted at me inside my store if I'm going to buy my favorite snack. I hesitated since I just ate my breakfast, but would love to really see the effect of my favorite snack to my health if taken regularly. I said yes, then suddenly my customer ordered his regular products, one of which I lack and have to weigh another to give to him. Then I calculated his order, his hand clipping the peso bill though he still needs to get additional money to pay the total. While getting the additional money from his pouch, my favorite snack was served, I paid for it, then all of a sudden a woman was telling m...
